Reforestation in Action

Ivoloina also has an active reforestation program on the grounds. The program is focused on recreating a forest that resembles primary rainforest using a combination of native species and quick-growing exotic species that create shade and improve soil quality. Local children and adults alike come to take part in special reforestation days at Ivoloina.

The MFG also provides plants and trees from its nurseries for nearby villages to use in replanting their own forests.
